Our Community

Trout River is a functioning fishing village rich in culture and traditions. We are located on the southern coastal edge of Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland, at the end of Route 431, literally the end of the road.

Now home to approximately 600 permanent residents, Trout River was settled in 1815. Still a thriving fishing village, Trout River has flourished. You will now find a local school, post office, gas bar, and convenience store that help and depend on residents and tourist alike for their success.

Our Home, Your Retreat

Ocean Breeze is a newly renovated saltbox house located directly on the water front in Trout River. Purchased by the present day owners in 2010, it now including the extension,  4 large bedrooms (each with a private bath) and kitchen, a dining room, a powder room, and a laundry room.

Originally, home to a local mid-wife, the house was built around 1906. It consisted of 4 small bedrooms, a kitchen, a living area, and later, a bathroom room.
